Get Started Guide

Everything you need to use Relvy!

7. Add Jira

From the Data Sources page in Relvy, select your Jira credentials to be able to have Relvy automatically process any or all of your issues reported in Jira.

Follow these steps:

After entering in your Jira domain and email you'll need to generate a Jira token.

Jira token.

To create a Jira token, log into your Atlassian account, go to your profile settings, navigate to the "Security" section, and click "Create and manage API tokens"; then, click "Create API token", give it a descriptive label, and copy the generated token to use in your app integration; remember to keep this token secure as it acts like a password for your Jira account.

Key steps:

  • Access your profile: Log in to Jira and click on your profile picture in the top right corner.

  • Go to security settings: Select "Profile" then navigate to "Security".

  • Create a new token: Click "Create and manage API tokens" and then "Create API token".

  • Label the token: Enter a recognizable label for your token.

  • Copy the token: Click "Create" and copy the generated token to your clipboard.

Important points to remember:

  • Security: Treat your API token like a password and never share it publicly.

  • Permissions: Depending on the app you're integrating, you may need to grant specific permissions to the token.

  • OAuth for enhanced security: For more secure integrations, consider using OAuth instead of basic authentication with API tokens.
