If you're an AWS Cloudwatch user go ahead and enter your credentials. At any time, reach out to us with any questions.

Check out this video to guide you to generate your AWS Access Key and AWS Secret Key. For the AWS region just enter the region you are using.

To generate an AWS access key and secret key, log into the AWS Management Console, navigate to your account settings, go to "Security Credentials," then expand the "Access keys (access key ID and secret access key)" section and click "Create New Access Key" - this will display your new access key ID and secret access key, which you should securely store as they are required for programmatic access to your AWS resources; remember that the secret key is only shown once upon creation.

Key steps:

  • Access the AWS Console: Log in to your AWS account and open the management console.

  • Go to Security Credentials: Click on your account name in the top right corner, then select "My Security Credentials".

  • Access Keys Section: Expand the "Access keys (access key ID and secret access key)" section.

  • Create New Access Key: Click "Create New Access Key".

  • View Credentials: The generated access key ID and secret access key will be displayed, ensure you save them securely.

Important Points:

  • IAM User Best Practice: It's recommended to create an IAM user with specific permissions instead of using your root account to generate access keys.

  • Security: Never share your secret access key publicly and treat it like a password.

  • Access Key Limit: You can only have a maximum of two active access keys per user.

Once successfully connected, you'll see a green button "connected"
